Building
Derek has framed up walls around most of the Production Room – it looks pretty amazing (see below) . He is sheathing the warehouse-sides of the walls with plywood and the production-space walls with washable wall board. This past weekend we chose lighting fixtures, designed the desk area where he’ll do the monthly federal and state reporting paperwork, and compared prices (and dimensions) of commercial ice machines. Bit by bit, the pieces are coming together.
Business / Community
Last week, we met with Mayor John McGinley and Director of Operations Kristina Abbey to talk about sidewalk design and parking on both Virginia St. and N. Idaho St. We’ll work with them to make it easy and safe to walk up, drive up, or bike up to our building.
Distillery
Our still has arrived! Big thanks to Pat and Ken from Standard Lumber for lending a hand after our forklift ran out of propane (with the 500gal mash ton halfway off the truck). Now the still and its equipment are in the building, waiting out of the way until we’re ready to install it all in the Production Room.
